Charles Allen Lindsey

Charles Allen Lindsey age 74, of McBain, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 23.  Charles was born May 27, 1943 in Etowah, Arkansas to Anna Louis Nelson and Bonner Lindsey.  He was a kind, gentle, and loving man.  Charles enjoyed cooking and traveling, with his favorite destination being Walt Disney World.  He adored spending time with family and friends; especially precious moments with his grandchildren.  He truly enjoyed both serving and socializing with the community while employed at the Kings Table Restaurant for over 20 years.  Charles was a member of Rehoboth Reformed Church of Lucas. He was truly grateful for all of their support and generosity, not only to him but also his family over the past years.

On October 31st, 1981 Charles and Deborah (Liedeke) were married at the First Presbyterian Church of Cadillac.  Charles is survived by his wife Deborah, three children; Chuck (Melissa) Lindsey of Cadillac, Holly Lindsey of Manistee, and Erick (Meegan) Lindsey of Fremont CA.  Charles was blessed with four grandchildren: Elisha (Adrian) Paxtor Vasquex of McBain, Malachi Hildebrand of Manistee, Aksel and Adeline Lindsey of Fremont CA.  Charles is also survived by his two great grandchildren Adrian and Josu’e, as well as three sisters Angie (Bud) Smith of PA, Samantha (Don) Dassance of El Paso TX, and Karla (Elvin) Stretten of Traverse City. He is survived by his mother in law, Phyllis Liedeke of McBain, in laws, Cheri (Mark) Sheperd of Waylon, Carrie (Mark) Priest of Traverse City. He was preceded in death by his parents, and father in law, Herman Liedeke


Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 31, at 2:00 P.M. at the Rehoboth Reformed Church in Lucas. Reverend Rod Kamrath will officiate at the funeral and burial will take place at Lucas Cemetery of Missaukee County.  Visitation will be on Saturday, Dec. 30th at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, Rehoboth Reformed Church or Hospice of Michigan Thoughts and prayers may be left at www.burkholderfamilyfuneralhome.com
