Patricia Eileen Euwema age 62 of Marion passed away on April 18, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones at Cherry Grove AFC in Cadillac. She was born on March 17, 1962 in Plymouth to Melvin J, Marr Sr. and Elinore Gladney. Pat married her High School sweetheart John Allen Euwema on January 2, 1981 at the Vogel Center Christian Reformed Church. John and Pat were blessed with 43 years of marriage, five children, twelve grandchildren and many close friends and family members.
After having her children , Pat went on to further her education and she received her Degree in Nursing. She worked 20+ years as an LPN in the medical field including at Dr. Ureta’s office in Lake City, Harrison Jail, and at the GEO Prison in Baldwin. She was an avid Tigers and U of M fan, liked reading, enjoyed the casino, shopping with her close friend Gloria Koch, coffee and long talks with her lifelong friend Terri Johnson. More than anything, Pat cherished her family and time spent together.
She is survived by her husband; John Allen Euwema of Marion, children; Kate (Brian) Armstrong of Coldwater, Kelli (John) Kelley of Thompsonville, Tom (Sarah) Euwema of Marion, Eileen Euwema of McBain and Andrew (Tricia) Euwema of Interlochen, 12 Grandchildren; (Madison, Ben, Allie, Christian, Karri, Eli, Cole, Lucas, Danny, Devin, Rose and Draven), siblings; Melvin J. Marr Jr. of LeRoy, Robert Marr of Kalkaska, Edward (Patti) Marr of St Claire Shores, Raymond (Diane) Marr of South Carolina, William Marr of Tennessee, Joseph Marr of Kalkaska, and John Marr of Cadillac, in-laws; Nancy (Keith) Herweyer of Wyoming, Bev (Dennis) Kamphouse of Marion, and Craig Nederhoed of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Elinore Marr, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rich and Agnes Euwema, brother; David Marr, sister; Jane Kogler, brother-in-law; Al Kogler, sister in-law; Cheryl Marr, sister-in-law; Ruth Nederhoed and sister in-law; Jeanie Euwema.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Vogel Center Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Adam Barton officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cherry Grove AFC Home. A luncheon will follow services at the church.
