Marcia Rae Koster, age 78 of Falmouth passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1945 in McBain to Will and Kate (Buning) Cnossen. On August 11, 1962 she entered into marriage with Willard “Kuss” Koster in Falmouth.

Marcia worked as a telephone operator at Michigan Bell/ AT&T for 25 years. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and entertaining. She especially loved visiting Tennessee, and retired to live in her hometown and spend time with her family. She was a kind, loving, and thoughtful person who will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years; Willard “Kuss” Koster, children; Todd (Jennifer) Koster, Jackie Koster, Sandra McKenna, Heather (Leo) Schafer, eight grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, sisters; Tracey (Richard) Gillen, and Carol (Roger) Duffield, in-laws; Karen Cnossen, Don (Nelvah) Agema, Linda (Bern) Mulder, Carole Agema, Jean Ouwinga, and Minerva (Jack) DeVries, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold Cnossen, Sidney (Tess) Cnossen, Cyrus Cnossen, sister Jean (Albert) Wiersma, brother’s in-law Dale Benjamin, Jack (Janice) Agema, and Phil Agema, nieces and nephews, Daryle Benjamin Forbes, Dawn, Randall, and Denise Benjamin, and Darwin Cnossen, parents’ in-law Albert (Henrietta) Agema.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 7 at the Prosper Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Dale Slings officiating. Burial will take place in the Prosper Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December, 6 at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain from 5-7 PM and one hour prior to the services at the church. A luncheon will ne be served at the church following the service. Memorial contributions can be made out to Hospice of Michigan.
