Bruce Allen DeKam, age 64, of Falmouth passed away peacefully at his home in the early morning hours of March 19th. His last week was spent in the house that he built, on the river he loved, surrounded by his family and friends.

He graduated from Northern Michigan Christian High School in 1977 and went on to study at Michigan State University, where he completed his journeyman’s electrical license in 1979. On August 21, 1981 he married the love of his life, Mary Ebels, at Prosper Christian Reformed Church in Falmouth.

He worked in the Agricultural industry his entire life, first on the dairy farm he grew up on, and later when he founded Great Lakes Dairy Supply in 1986, where he worked until he retired in 2022. He loved the outdoors, and spent many hours in the woods and on the water hunting and fishing whatever was in season. He loved music, and for years his tenor voice could be heard in churches, ballgames or just singing pretty much anywhere he went. He spent many years in the Glorybound quartet, singing the gospel throughout Michigan.
