Willard Howard Mejeur, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Maple Ridge Living Center in Cadillac. Willard was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on February 15, 1931, to Harm and Magdelene (Kannegieter) Mejeur.

Willard obtained a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Western Michigan University. He worked various professional jobs at Miles Laboratory, Michigan Chemical, White Consolidated Appliance, Diamond Rio Truck, Case Tractor, and Ingalls Shipbuilders. He enjoyed photography in his earlier years. Golfing was his favorite pastime; he started as a teenager, working at the Kalamazoo Country Club and playing weekly for the remainder of his life. He was a member of Baptist Churches in Mississippi, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

He married Gloria Jean Phillipson of Hickory Corners, Michigan, in Elkhart on February 18, 1957. They were married for 59 years until her passing on January 27, 2016, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

His children survive him: Thomas Willard (Brenda Hosford) Mejeur of Cadillac, James Harmon Mejeur (Nildo Harper) of Kissimmee, FL, and Susan Melissa Mejeur of Kalamazoo, grandchildren: Chad Thomas (Shaundra Taylor) Mejeur of Calhoun, GA, and Philip (Katie Parker) Mejeur of Bloomfield Hills, great-grandchildren: Addison Mejeur of Calhoun, GA, and Abigail Mejeur of Bloomfield Hills.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gloria Joan Phillipson, siblings Benjamin Mejeur, Jurry Mejeur, Hubert Mejeur, Leonard Mejeur, James Mejeur, Harold Mejeur, and Catherine McGlennon.
