Peter James Wedesky age 69 of Lake passed away at his home on May 8, 2025. Pete was born on October 5, 1955 in Detroit to Joseph and Barbara (Scott) Wedesky. He married Marsha Martinez on April 2, 1982 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pete had worked at Chrysler Motors for over 15 years and then graduated with a Master’s Degree from Eastern MU and taught Elementary Education in Detroit and retired in 2019 from the Fowlerville School System. He was a member of the McBain Baptist Church where he had served a deacon. He loved fishing and was a great athlete.
He is survived by his wife; Marsha Wedesky of Lake, two children; Trevor (Liliana) Wedesky of Morganton, North Carolina and Lea (Joseph) Davis of New Bern, North Carolina, grandson; Antonio Wedesky of Morganton, North Carolina, siblings; Ruth (Art) Kulesza of Holt, Janice (James) Fennelly of Beaverton, Joseph (Debbie) Wedesky of Canton, John (Toni) Wedesky of South Lyon, Frank (Chris) Wedesky of Howell, and Mary (Dale) Marcus of Howell, in-laws; Mina (Ken) Hart of Taylor and Marty Martinez of Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Barbara Wedesky, and an infant sister; Barbara Wedesky, and niece Jessica Marcus.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Oak Pointe Church at 1250 South Hill Road, Milford on May 16, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend David Hughes officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Fellowship and food will follow the service. Memorial contributions can be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project.
