Pearl Ilene Taylor age 83 of McBain passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Munson Healthcare-Cadillac Hospital. Pearl was born on November 23, 1939 to Edward and Ardis (Duddles) Hiller in McBain. She married Vernon Taylor on June 19, 1959 at the McBain United Presbyterian Church and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2012.

Pearl had been an active member of the McBain United Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon. Pearl had worked as a Para Pro at the McBain Public High School for over30 years and had also worked in the school library.

She is survived by two daughters; Kimberly Taylor of Oak Brook, Illinois and Bridget Taylor of Cadillac, grandchildren; Andrew Stralow of McBain, Sarah (Kyle Fisette) Dozier of Columbus, Indiana, and Katie (Jose’ Uribe) Dozier of Oak Park, Illinois, great grandchildren; Annabelle Hoover of Cadillac, Caroline Fisette and Taylor Fisette both of Columbus, Indiana, sister; Becky Okoren of Cadillac, in-laws; Hankie Taylor and Jerry (Louise) Taylor both of McBain.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Tami Taylor, siblings; Bob (Carol) Hiller and Art (Pat) Hiller, in-laws, Victor Okoren, Kay (Ray) Schepers, Mae (Al) Pluger, Marge (Ivan) Quist, Bob (Bonnie) Taylor, Lawrence (Betty) Taylor, Jim Taylor and Sharon Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain with Pastor Jan Jasperse officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery at McBain. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A luncheon will follow the funeral service at the McBain Community Building. Memorial contributions may be made to the McBain Library.
