Patricia "Pat" D. Tucker, age 78, of McBain, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with her daughter and beloved "Kitty" by her side. She took her final breath and reunited with her one and only love, Bill Tucker, and God.
Pat was born on August 1, 1946, to Mildred and Richard Campbell. She married the love of her life, William "Bill" Tucker, and together they built a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to family for many years.
Her career began at Johnny's Restaurant in South Lyon, Michigan, before she started driving a school bus for South Lyons Schools in 1970. Later, Pat and Bill, along with his brothers Jerry and Bob Tucker, moved to a 240-acre ranch in Falmouth, Michigan. While the men worked on oil wells and were way, Pat managed the farm and continued her dedication to driving school buses, this time for Northern Christian School. She also worked at Fred Bear Archery and the Moddersville Store with Andy and Betty Wilson.
A talented homemaker, caretaker, and craftswoman, Pat had a gift for cooking, ceramics, and making everything she touched perfect. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and was a true and loyal friend to all who knew her. After her daughter graduated high school, she and Bill took to the road as a truck-driving team, exploring the country together.
Pat is survived by her only child, Kimberly A. Tucker-King (Mark King); grandchildren Eric Keller (and son Porter) of Ann Arbor, Robert Keller (Jen, Kaylie, and Marlie) of Traverse City, and Brooke Richards (Jeff Carter, Avaya, and Luke) of Cadillac. She also leaves behind her siblings: Barbara Campbell of Cadillac, Richard Campbell of Romulus, Bruce Campbell, Mary Campbell, and Michael Campbell of Romulus, as well as Nancy Campbell Hogan, niece Linda Tucker-Brown of Lake City and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her former husband Bill Tucker; brothers-in-law Jerry (Rita) and Bob Tucker; nephew Shane Tucker; and parents Johnny, Doug, Gail, and Kenny Campbell.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
A private family viewing will take place at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain. A celebration of life and burial will take place later in the spring.
