Lonnie James Ward age 57 of Hersey passed away on February 1, 2023 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born September 15, 1965 at Reed City to Bernard James and Janice Mae (Kadwell) Ward.

Lonnie was a member of the Teamster’s Union and had been an over the road truck driver for many years and loved driving in general. He was of an independent spirit. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his son; Nicholas Ward of Comstock Park. Lonnie is also survived by his brother, Allen (Kathy) Ward of Lake City.

He was preceded in death his parents, Bernard and Janice Ward and an infant brother, Bernard Ward.

Graveside services will be held on June 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the West Lincoln Township Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Ashton Townhall.
