Obituary For Lois Westdorp

Lois Westdorp, age 92 of McBain went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Quiet Creek AFC in Falmouth. She was born November 29, 1931 to Rikus and Mary (Boven) Mulder in Clam Union Township. On December 22, 1952 she married Kenneth Westdorp.

Lois dedicated her life to raising their children and enjoyed helping taking care of their granddaughters. She was a lifetime member of the Christian Reformed Church, being involved in many activities in the church. Being a volunteer was a big part of her life, she volunteered for over 25 years at Autumnwood of McBain as well as other organizations. She enjoyed following their sons, their granddaughters, and great-grandchildren in their sports and other school activities. Lois also enjoyed outdoor work and gardening.

Lois is survived by her husband Kenneth Westdorp of McBain, sons; Timothy (Wendy) Westdorp of Kentwood, Theodore (Debbie) Westdorp of McBain, and Todd Westdorp (Pam Suntken) of Byron Center, granddaughters; Courtney (Chad) Agema of McBain and Carley (Joe) Ensing of McBain, great-grandchildren; Chase, Couper and Carsyn Agema, Reese and Rowan Ensing, sister Eunice (Clarence) Clark, sister in-law Esther Jourden, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 25th at Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain with Rev. Adam Barton officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 on Saturday at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain and one hour prior to service on Sunday. A luncheon will follow the service at the McBain Community Building. Burial will take place in the Mount View Cemetery in McBain. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to the American Diabetes Association.
