Obituary For Linda VanderWal

Linda VanderWal age 77 of Falmouth, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 surrounded by her family at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born in July 19, 1946 in Cadillac to Marvin and Mildred (Loeks) Jenema. On May 18, 1974 she married Ralph VanderWal in Lake City.

Linda was a member of the Independent Bible Church in Cadillac, she enjoyed watching Detroit Tigers baseball and was huge fan, as well, she enjoyed time spent with her family and did other hobbies such as knitting, reading, and painting.

She is survived by her daughter Amy (Rex) Thompson of McBain, grandchildren; Tammy (Wyatt) Wagenschutz of Tustin, Mark (Liz) Thompson of McBain, Tim (Jessica) Thompson of Custer, great-grandchildren; Wyatt Jr., Zachary, Arimina and Brandon Jr., siblings; Jan Jeffers of Manton, Greg (Cindy) Jenema of Vancouver, WA, Kevin (Marge) Jenema of Linden, in-laws; Bill Fredricks, Nordean (Irv) Craft, Kay (Carl) Brinks, Esther (Dave) DeKam, Karen VanderWal, Randy (Ginny) VanderWal, and Ruth VanderWal. As well as many other surviving relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph VanderWal, in-laws; Steven Jeffers, Marcia (Jay) DeVries, Ray VanderWal, Max Collins, Lois Fredricks, Betty (David) Vanzon and Ross VanderWal.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Independent Bible Church in Cadillac with Pastor Nate Walker officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday. A luncheon will take place after the service at the church and burial will be in the Vogel Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the church. The Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain is handling the arrangements.     Linda was one of my good friends she loved to play Bingo and she likes to be out side and she loved to do activities and watch movies and if you are having a bad day she is always there for you she was a good listener and a good friend I'm going to miss Linda love you Linda miss you every day
