Joanne Marlene Chamberlain age 86 of Marion passed away on October 13, 2023 at Munson Healthcare-Cadillac Hospital. Joanne was born at Vestaburg to Oliver M. and Ilah Bell (Swift) Wymer on August 20, 1937. She married Dean Leroy Chamberlain on May 5, 1956 at the Marion United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2019.

Joanne was a member of the Marion United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir, the Evening Circle, and the United Methodist Women. She had bowled for 30 years, been a Girl Scouts leader for 30 years, and enjoyed doing crafts and gardening. She also was a member the Historical Society. She had been the librarian for 10 years, worked as a cook at the Marion Schools for 10 years, worked in the bakery at the Kibby Store and ten years for Raymond Camper Sales.

She is survived by her children; Trudy (Lynn) VanDaHuvel of Crivitz, Wisconsin, Douglas Dean (Diana Lynn) Chamberlain of Marion, Valerie Jo (David) Eckert of Marion, and Darren Wayne (Rhonda) Chamberlain of Lake City. Her grandchildren are: Nathan (Ann) VanDaHuvel, Rebecca Chamberlain., Patricia (Dewey) Chamberlain, Patrick Chamberlain, Michael Sherman, Chelsi (Kirk) Foster, Cody (Keisha) Chamberlain, Tyler (Michala) Chamberlain, Dylan (Rachel) Chamberlain, Trevor Chamberlain, Bethany C (Adam) Whittaker, Luke Eckert, Clay Eckert, and Adrian Eckert, and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Yvonne Squiers, Barbara Eisenhouer, and Roger Wymer and Lonnie Wymer, in-laws; Janet Wymer and Floyd Merlin Chamberlain and Rhoda Chamberlain.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the Marion United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Mort officiating with burial in Greenwood Cemetery at Marion. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of services at the church. A luncheon will follow the funeral services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion United Methodist Church.
