Gary Lynn Ford of Cadillac passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. He was 77 years old. Gary was born on April 10, 1946, in Monroe, Michigan to Wilfred and Garnett Ford.

On August 6, 1996, he married Cathy Kamphouse; she survives him along with his older brother, Edward, Gary’s children, Geri Lynn, Adam and David, his stepson and family, Marcus and Maria Vanderhoef, and their children, Devin, Carlos, Deliah, and Levi.

Gary was predeceased by his parents and his children, Brianna, and Ryan

Over his work life, he was employed in janitorial and production work in Cadillac. Gary loved a good game of Yahtzee while listening to Christian Radio. Gary was a great man of faith; he read his Bible daily. He wrote poetry and took delight is “hiding” the poems to be found by the recipient of his writing. Gary had a very sensitive spirit.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the United Methodist Church of Cadillac with Judy Coffey officiating. Friends may meet the family Saturday beginning at Noon at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain.
