Faye Diane Walker (Meyering) (69) of McBain went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2024. She was born April 13, 1955 to Henry and Kathryn Meyering (Hoekwater). The middle child with 4 siblings, she was raised in McBain. In 1985, Faye married Michael “Jac” Walker and blended their families with camping, weekend motorcycle rides, laughter and God’s love. Faye and Jac both worked for The Ideal Group in Hamburg, Michigan, focused on the steel manufacturing, with Faye serving as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Sales, and numerous other roles during her years with the company. In 2000, Faye and Jac relocated to Presque Isle where they owned and operated “The Parker House” serving hearty breakfasts and cementing themselves into the close-knit community until their retirement to McBain in 2018. Faye lost her battle with cancer,but continues on in the heart and lives of her friends and family.

Faye is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jac Walker, children Lindsey (Tim) of Clarkston, Justin (Jamie) of Key West, Florida, step son, Michael (Nancy) of Frederick, Maryland, step daughter, Gina “Nicole” of Columbia, South Carolina. She also leaves grandchildren Hannah, Nicholas, Harper, step grandchildren, Kayleigh, Emma, Alex, Abby, Christopher, and siblings Gail (Ken), Karen (Paul), Mary and Kenneth (Jodi). Faye is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

Faye was known for her beautiful soprano signing voice, a balanced and fair business sense, her kind and gentle spirit, homestyle cooking and famous chicken noodle soup. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Kathryn Meyering, step father Harvey Loeks and step grandson Bryce. Visitation services will be held at Burkholder Family Funeral Home 211 N Pine St, McBain, MI 49657 on Thursday, October 31st 7pm-9pm. Funeral Services are Friday, November 1st at 11am at Burkholder Family Funeral Home followed by a luncheon at McBain City Hall, 9478 S Morey Rd., McBain, MI 49657. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to American Cancer Society.
