Carolyn Joyce DeZeeuw, age 85 of Falmouth, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. Carolyn was born on October 9, 1938 in Riverside Township to Henry and Margaret (Sikkema) Brinks. On October 24, 1958 Carolyn married Richard DeZeeuw in Vogel Center.

Carolyn enjoyed entertaining and feeding her family, she loved to bake and was known to bake many pies in a weeks’ time. Carolyn also was fond of vegetable gardening and she also enjoyed going camping. She was also a long-time member of Prosper Christian Reformed Church.

Carolyn is survived by her children; Dave (Diane) DeZeeuw of Falmouth, Dan (Karla) DeZeeuw of McBain, Mary (Jon) Taylor of McBain, Mark (Karen) DeZeeuw of Falmouth, grandchildren; Randy (Amy) DeZeeuw of Falmouth, Steve DeZeeuw of Falmouth, Brenda (Ezequiel) Peña

of Marion, Jim (Abby) DeZeeuw of McBain, Kim and Jill DeZeeuw of McBain, Nathan and Michelle Taylor of McBain, Eric (Gabrielle) DeZeeuw of Falmouth, and Amanda DeZeeuw of Falmouth, as well as 11 great-grandchildren, siblings; Janet Mulder of Hudsonville, Jerry (Sherry) Brinks of Rockford, Kerwin (Karen) Brinks of Belmont.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard DeZeeuw, siblings Donald Brinks and Gladys Brinks, in-laws; Peter (Lois) DeZeeuw, and Bill DeZeeuw, brother in-law Ernest Mulder, nephews; Kevin Mulder, and Terry DeZeeuw.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 4 at the Prosper Christian Reformed Church in Falmouth with Pastor Jim DeZeeuw officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Prosper Christian Reformed Church and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will take place in the Prosper Cemetery; a luncheon will follow the service at the church. Memorial contributions can be made out to Prosper CRC or St. Jude’s.
