Eldon David Weaver

Farmer and businessman

Eldon David Weaver, of Falmouth, passed away October 4, 2017 at Autumnwood of McBain. He was born November 5, 1932 in Attica, Ohio to Harry and Velma (Slessman) Weaver. Eldon married Helen Louise Kok on November 14, 1952 in Celeryville, Ohio, she survives him.
Eldon was a member of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War; he was a farmer and a fertilizer and spray specialist before he retired. He attended Aetna Christian Reformed Church, was a member for 35 years of the Lions Club in Attica, Ohio, and Sebring, Florida; he enjoyed deer and fox hunting, talking and flower gardening. Eldon lived in Sebring, Florida for several years, working in the orange grove and transporting people from the airport. He enjoyed family get-togethers and dearly loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eldon is survived by his wife Helen Louise Weaver of Falmouth, children Donna (Melvin) Mulder of McBain and Karl (Sandy) Weaver of Attica, Ohio, son in-law Rich Marcusse of Falmouth, 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. His sister in-law Elizabeth Weaver of Attica, Ohio and brother in-law Roger Babcock of New Haven, Ohio also survive him. He also has a special friend, Roger Hoekwater of Marion.
Eldon was preceded in death by his daughter Joy Louise Marcusse, 3 infants, his parents Harry and Velma Weaver, brothers Harold (Marvis) Weaver and Richard Weaver, in-laws John (Margaret) Kok and Pauline Babcock.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8 at the Aetna church with Rev. Adam Barton officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 Monday and an hour prior to the funeral at the Lindsey Olds Funeral Home Bloomville, Ohio.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 10 at the Lindsey Olds Funeral Home in Bloomville, Ohio with Father Ron Schock officiating, burial will take place in the Attica Venice Township Cemetery.
