Gary Marvin Dykgraaf

Gary Marvin Dykgraaf I, 74, of Cadillac, passed away September 14, 2017 at Autumnwood of McBain. He was born on November 11, 1942 in Evart to Martin and Hattie (VanHaitsma) Gary married Doreen Tomala on August 13, 2005 at the Moddersvile Reformed Church, she survives him.
Gary had driven truck for Western Concrete and in his last employment he drove truck for Hydrolake in McBain. He retired in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling.
Gary is survived by his wife Doreen Dykgraaf of Cadillac, children; Daniel (Karen) Dykgraaf of Kentwood, Dean (Angie) Dykgraaf of Peoria, Illinois, David (Lisa) Dykgraaf of Merritt, Todd (Sandy) Dykgraaf of Amarillo, Texas, Michelle (Terry) Lewis of Lake City and Gary (Diane) Dykgraaf II, of Cadillac; 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings; Ron (Carol) Dykgraaf of Cadillac, Marilyn Birdsley of Grand Rapids, Carl (Sue) Dykgraaf of McBain and Dale (Cindy) Dykgraaf of McBain, sisters in-law Susie Dykgraaf and Julie Dykgraaf both of Falmouth, and his children’s mother Ethel Pompura of Cadillac.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Hattie Dykgraaf, brothers; Vern Dykgraaf and Don Dykgraaf and brother in-law Ed Birdsley.
Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16 at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain. Burial will take place in the Falmouth Cemetery.
