Dairy Farmer

Greg Dean Jenema, age 61, of Falmouth, passed away at his home on September 8, 2017 from medical complications. He was born on Nov. 13, 1955, in Cadillac to Merlin and Mabel (Flint) Jenema. He had worked as a dairy farmer most of his working career. Over the years he was affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church. He enjoyed hunting and going mushroom hunting. He is survived by his three sons, Jason (Lynn) Jenema and Nathon Jenema both of Lake City, and Ryan Jenema of Grand Rapids. He has three step children, Leslie Powers of Honor, Joel Powers of Traverse City, and Aaron Powers of Honor. He is survived also by seven step grandchildren and two siblings, Barb (Bob) Hoblet of Cadillac and Tom (Tracey) Jenema of Cadillac. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandy Jenema. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain. Rev. Berton Van Antwerpen will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Burial will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery at Cadillac. I have known Greg the entire 23 years I've lived here. I am saddened by his passing...he loved his kids very much and spoke of them often.
