William Cook

William Edward Cook age 87 of Winterfield Township, Marion, passed away at the home of his nephew and caregiver, Raymond (Becky) Faulman, on Saturday, July 1, 2017. He was born on March 28, 1930 in Winterfield Township to Nealie and Lela Randall. He married Violet Mae Knauss on Nov. 4, 1967 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church at Breckenridge. She preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 2008. Bill had been a farmer all his working years raising hogs and cattle. He had worked for many years at the Marion Livestock Auction and had worked in the office at ASC. He was a member of the Gideons and the Temple Church of the Nazarene. He had been a trapper for over 79 years. He was the last living member of his family. He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Colburg of Marion and Karen Dunlop of Greenville. He has four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his folks, brothers, Donald Cook and Richard Cook and his father in law and mother in law, Forrest & Veva Knauss. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 P.M. at the Temple Church of the Nazarene with Rev. William Dyke officiating. Burial will follow in the Winterfield Township Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Burkholder Family Funeral Home in McBain and one hour prior to services at the church.
